The Autobianchi lineup: features and equipment packages

Autobianchi started out as a joint project between Fiat and Bianchi, an Italian bicycle manufacturer. The company was founded in 1955 and its first model, the Bianchina, debuted the following year. It featured a rear-engine design and was powered by a 500 cc engine. The car's performance characteristics were praised for its agility and fuel economy, making it an attractive option for those looking to save money. The Bianchina was available in a variety of body styles, including a four-door sedan, two-door cabriolet and a two-seat roadster.

The Autobianchi A112 was introduced in 1969 as the successor to the Bianchina. It featured a 903 cc engine and had improved performance characteristics, making it capable of reaching speeds up to 86 mph. It was available in three- or five-door hatchback versions as well as a two-door sedan. The A112 also featured many innovative features, such as power steering, an overhead camshaft engine, telescopic dampers, and an optional five-speed manual transmission.
