The Alpina D4 Biturbo has been available since 2014, which is why the vehicle refiner from Buchloe has also scheduled a facelift with the general facelift of the 4 series. The coupé has been available since March 2017 at a price of at least 61,200 euros and the convertible from 69,500 euros. The propulsion continues to come from a dual-charged three-liter six-cylinder diesel, which was already used in the D5 and XD3. Thanks to optimized intake and increased charging and injection pressures, the diesel engine delivers a whopping 350 hp and 700 Newton meters of maximum torque. With a sports exhaust, Alpina elicits a robust sound from the D4. The performance is sufficient to send the closed 4er in 4.6 and the convertible to 100 km/h in just five seconds. At the top, the two variants of the Alpina D4 Biturbo (2017) are close together with a top speed of 278 and 275 km/h respectively. Always shifted and managed by ZF's eight-speed automatic.
Despite all the sportiness, frequent drivers need not be afraid of the petrol pump: Alpina states consumption as 5.3 liters (coupé) or 5.9 liters of diesel (convertible). Read more
