One of Mitsubishi's most iconic cars, the Eclipse represented the brand's ambition in the sports compact segment for several decades. From its inception in the late 1980s to its eventual transformation into a crossover in the 2010s, the Eclipse bore witness to the ever-evolving automotive landscape.
Across its generations, the Eclipse had several engine options, ranging from modest inline-4s to potent V6s. Perhaps most famously, certain models were powered by turbocharged 4G63 engines, which became legends in the tuner community.
The Eclipse's power ranged from around 92 hp in its initial models to over 260 hp in its later V6 configurations.
