The Lada 2123, also known as the VAZ-2123 or Lada Niva II, is a compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) manufactured by the Russian carmaker AvtoVAZ. Part of the iconic Lada Niva family, this vehicle was produced from 1998 to 2009, carrying forward the Niva's tradition of providing sturdy, capable, and affordable off-road vehicles.

The Lada 2123 was powered by a 1.7-liter inline-four petrol engine, capable of generating around 80 horsepower and 94 lb-ft of torque. This engine was paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and featured full-time four-wheel drive with a locking center differential – a feature that underlined the 2123's off-road capabilities.

The Lada 2123 embodied a significant upgrade over its predecessors in terms of exterior design and interior comfort. While retaining the distinctive boxy shape that had come to define the Niva line, the 2123 featured more rounded edges and modern detailing. The cabin was also more refined than earlier models, with an improved layout, better materials, and a more comfortable ride.

As a vehicle primarily designed for off-road use, the Lada 2123 was well-equipped to handle rugged conditions. Read more
